  • Ruth Quintanilla M.A.

    Ruth Quintanilla, M.A., (She/Her/Ella) is a Doctoral Intern at California Counseling Clinics. Ruth is a bilingual clinician who provides trauma-informed and culturally responsive care to adolescents, adults, and couples, veterans, and military-affiliated clients. Her current approach integrates modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parts Work, and Couples Therapy. She has experience supporting clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and relationship concerns. Ruth takes a strengths-based approach and is focused on creating a therapeutic environment grounded in safety, collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and client autonomy. Ruth earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology from the University of the Pacific. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program at the University of the Pacific.

Ruth es una profesional bilingüe que brinda atención informada sobre el trauma y culturalmente sensible a adolescentes a adolescentes, adultos y parejas, y veteranos. Su enfoque clínico actual integra modalidades como la Desensibilización y Reprocesamiento por Movimientos Oculares (EMDR), la Terapia Cognitivo-Conductual (TCC), el trabajo con las partes internas y la terapia de pareja. Tiene experiencia apoyando a personas que enfrentan experiencias traumáticas, ansiedad, depresión, neurodivergencia y dificultades en sus relaciones. Ruth adopta un enfoque basado en las fortalezas y se enfoca en crear un entorno terapéutico fundamentado en la seguridad, la colaboración, la sensibilidad cultural y la autonomía de cada cliente. Ruth obtuvo su licenciatura (B.A.) en Psicología de la Universidad de California, Santa Barbara, y su maestría (M.A.) en Educación, con énfasis en Psicología de la Consejería, de la University of the Pacific. Actualmente, es candidata doctoral en el programa de Doctorado en Psicología (PsyD) de la University of the Pacific.
