Karen Firestone, M.A.

Karen Firestone M.A. (she/her) is a clinical psychology Predoctoral Intern at California Counseling Clinics gaining supervised clinical hours. Karen has worked with adults of all ages, providing psychological support to people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and challenges in relationships. She is particularly passionate about working with college-aged individuals and undertook two years of training at De Anza College, where she provided counseling services to a diverse population of students. Karen takes a relational, strength-based, and client-centered approach to therapy, with the intention of helping clients foster a more secure sense of self. She works collaboratively with clients to create a welcoming, safe space that supports personal exploration and the development of the emotional tools necessary to help one reach their goals.
