  • Emily Hasinsky, M.A.

    Emily Hasinsky, M.A., (she/her) is a clinical psychology extern at California Counseling Clinics gaining supervised clinical hours at CCC. Her training consists of gender-affirming care, trauma-informed treatment, and evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT and ACT. Emily’s clinical practice is shaped by a commitment to cultural humility, intersectionality, and social justice. Her work is informed by her experience in community mental health and her dedication to serving marginalized populations with compassion and clinical integrity. Emily creates a collaborative space that centers on the client’s autonomy, identity and values. She has previous experience providing psychotherapy and group services to LGBTQIA+ clients with complex diagnoses, as well as coaching couples from diverse backgrounds using principles of Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). Her areas of interest include trauma, identity development, LGBTQIA+ mental health, sports psychology, and relational dynamics. Emily holds a Master’s of Arts in Forensic Psychology from California Baptist University and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Riverside. Her past research has examined public perceptions of law enforcement and female psychopathy, reflecting her interest in the intersection of psychology, gender and the legal system. Her current research examines the identity development of LGBTQIA+ female athletes.
