    Dr. Kimya Sabzbalouchibam, M.S., PsyD | Postdoctoral Psychological Fellow

    Kimya Sabzbalouchibam, M.S., PsyD (she/her), is a postdoctoral fellow at California Counseling Clinics. Kimya has earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University and is currently completing post-doctoral supervised hours towards licensure. Kimya’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from various therapeutic techniques including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral approaches, interpersonal process, internal family systems (IFS), and person-centered care. Kimya has a strong commitment to cultural humility and has experience working with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating intersecting identities. Kimya completed her doctoral internship at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy, where she developed advanced clinical training in treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, grief, adjustment concerns, and identity development. Throughout her doctoral training, Kimya has also gained experience working with individuals navigating co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns, complex relationship dynamics, family conflict, and major life transitions. Kimya is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported, and can take meaningful steps towards healing, growth, and living a fulfilling life.
