    Dr. Ashley Chae, M.A., PsyD | Postdoctoral Psychological Fellow

    Dr. Ashley Chae, Psy.D. (she/her) is a postdoctoral fellow at California Counseling Clinics. She has earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and is working towards licensure. Ashley has several years of experience working with college students, young adults, adolescents, and preteens. Common presenting concerns have included depression, anxiety, family of origin difficulties, attention/concentration challenges, and identity exploration. Ashley is passionate about social justice and advocating for accessible mental health services. Ashley’s approach is rooted in psychodynamic and relational perspectives and integrates other frameworks such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solutions-focused therapies. Throughout her training, Ashley has also gained experience providing testing and assessment, particularly for neurodivergent individuals seeking diagnostic clarity, resources, and support. Ashley is committed to providing culturally responsive and affirming care and collaborating with clients to meet their goals. She ultimately prioritizes creating a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space that fosters exploration and growth.
