  • Leonie Lerner, MS

    Leonie Lerner, M.S., (she/her) is a clinical psychology extern currently gaining supervised clinical hours at California Counseling Clinics. Leonie has extensive experience working with adults of diverse backgrounds and also enjoys working with teenagers. She has a strong passion for supporting individuals with autism and ADHD and providing therapy and conducting assessments for them. Additionally, Leonie is dedicated to working with marginalized groups, including those from varied ethnic backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community. Leonie believes that every individual’s treatment should be tailored to their own unique needs. She is experienced in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and often integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, multicultural, and mindfulness approaches into her practice. Leonie has previous training in providing therapy and conducting assessments for teenagers and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders. Additionally, she has worked with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem issues, school-related stress, sleep issues, and identity challenges. In terms of research, Leonie is currently completing her dissertation on factors that protect against depressive symptoms and the negative impacts of minority stress in individuals who identify as both autistic and as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
