  • Dr. Kimberly Herriman

    Post-doctoral Fellow

Dr. Kimberly Herriman is a Post-doctoral Fellow at California Counseling Clinics. She completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University of Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California. Her research interest and dissertation focused on incorporating the fundamental principles of Applied Improv and play to facilitate creative problem-solving, collaboration, and overall well-being. Dr. Herriman frames her clinical work with the premise that each person is unique and that a single therapeutic approach cannot address their psychological, emotional, physical, and social needs. She employs an integrative clinical style, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, and therapeutic improv techniques.

Dr. Herriman has experience working with adolescents, adults, and seniors with a wide range of emotional and behavioral struggles including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, stress, anger management, relationship struggles, identity, and life transitions.
